合作规模与丁肇中科研成果影响力——基于SCI论文署名人数与论文被引用量关系的分析
Collaboration Group Size and It’s Impact on the Quality of S.C.C. Ting’ s Scientific Performance——Based on the Analysis of the Relationship between the Number of Co-authours and the Citation Count of His SCI Papers
【摘要】 丁肇中是第一位荣获诺贝尔奖的华裔实验物理学家,从1962年至2006年,他的合作论文近乎其SCI论文总量的98%,科研团队成员四、五百人乃至两千多人。合作规模对他的科学研究有怎样的影响呢?本文依据SCI(2006扩增版)数据库提供的有关丁肇中论文的相关信息,对其合作规模变化趋势以及合作规模对科研论文的影响进行了研究。结果发现,丁肇中的合作团队规模呈不断增大趋势,到科研生涯后期进入相对稳定状态;论文被引用量随署名人数的增加而增加;丁肇中的科研高峰期处于其合作最活跃期;除少量经典科研论文外,丁肇中56岁以后发表的科研论文的影响力与日俱增,其中合作规模发挥着重大作用。
【Abstract】 Throughout his career,Nobel laureate S.C.C.Ting’s co-publications account for nearly 98 percent of all his publications.His collaboration group consists of 400 or 500 members or so,and even more than 2000.The purpose of this paper is to examine the development trend of Ting’s collaboration group size and it’s impact on the quality of his scientific performance.The findings are:on the whole,Ting’s collaboration group expands with time and reaches a steady state in the later period;the quality of papers improves with the increment of co-authors;Ting’s publication peak is in his most collaborating period;except several classical papers,the quality of most Ting’s papers increases with his age,in which collaboration group size plays a significant role.
