【Abstract】 This paper expounded historical process of modern forestry based on the production background of modern forestry, policy evolution of international forestry,development strategy of China’s forestry etc.It pointed out that Dialectics was the philosophical basis of modern forestry, whose development was based on system theory, coordination theory and ecological economics.The aim of modern forestry was to achieve unification of multi-benefits, and its development method was multi-angle and three-dimensional.Forestry was not only a very important public welfare and basic industry, but also a very important cultural carrier with enormous ecological function,economic function and social culture function.It played a very important role in promoting ecological construction,guaranteeing forestry product supply and flourishing forestry culture, and had an important mission to build ecological civilization.更多还原
