【Abstract】 In recent years,with attention paid to the global environmental problems,there have been requirements for continuous improvement of automobile fuel economy and exhaust gas purification rate.The properties of the ferritic stainless steels used to make automobile parts have been improved.The parts of the automobile exhaust system in Europe,United States and Japan have been made of ultra-pure ferritic stainless steels(FSS) for low cost and high properties.This paper introduces the construction of automotive exhaust systems and property requirements of commonly used stainless steels and describes their main failure behaviors and corrosion evaluation procedures.更多还原
