【Abstract】 Both English"elegant variation" and Chinese"Bi Fu" have a long history,but at present time,the former is fully developed yet the latter not.After a profound analysis of the reason,the author proposes that it is due to the fact that Chinese does not have a solid base of vocabulary for elegant variation as a result of its own features.Gradually,Chinese aesthetic expectation of "Bi Fu" becomes weaker and weaker and therefore English learners in China cannot apply "elegant variation" freely due to the negative transfer of their mother tongue.The differentiation is helpful for them to have a better sense of the application of "elegant variation".更多还原
