【Abstract】 Through an analysis of Jean Rhys’ two West Indian short stories,The Day They Burned the Books and Let Them Call It Jazz,this paper argues that in the two "contact zones" of the colonizer and the colonized — imperial periphery and imperial center,the West Indian "Others" expose colonial evil and resist colonial domination through various ways,thereby articulating themselves and constituting a strong Postcolonial counter-discourse.更多还原
