【Abstract】 With their large quantity and extensive area,residential areas become the base color of the landscape of a city and exert great influence on the personality and taste of the spatial formation of the city. While people build landmark architectures and operate commercial streets in a city,they expect more residential blocks to become classic homes for millions of citizens.As an expensive commodity,a residential unit often embodies the dreams of many families for a nice life.The citizens desire a place for peaceful mind,relaxed body and elegant life.As rough residential blocks and slum villages in urban areas built in the early period of industrialization are being dismantled and disappearing,new residential blocks are built in great quantities.However,the laziness and flippancy of designers have resulted in large amounts of homogeneous hastily-created residential blocks that quickly become urban tumors to be removed soon in the rapid development of the cities.At the same time, the great variety of the styles of the residential blocks become increasingly irrational and disorderly,as these were designed to pursue forms only,while they meet the diversified demands of the citizens.Some runners of cities have become aware of this problem and started to control and rectify it. In 2008 the real estate industry fell from a boiling situation of rapid development into an overall depression and readjustment.The real estate enterprises lost their excessive profits and fell into low growth.Now the entire industry needs the driving power from national real estate policies and macroscopic adjustment and control.In this particularly downturn period,the projects designed by the team of the Fourth Institute quickly became popular and sold well.These include the projects Yi Cheng Xi Shan Hua Fu,Yang Guang Shang Dong C9 Anderson Garden and Theme Residential Block in Beijing Overseas Chinese Town in Beijing,the project Tian Yuan Di Jing in Tangshan,and the project Dong An Guo Ji in Huhhot.The projects in over 20 provinces and municipalities directly under the central government become classic homes when they receive their residents or sell well in the local areas.These star projects designed without any star designers embody the wisdom and devotion of the design teams as well as those of the contractors and constructors.Looking back into the past and reflecting over the present situation,the designers realize that these achievements come from the adherence to three principles: to adhere to the idea"Architecture Serves the Society"advocated by the BIAD Designs, to adhere to professional ethics and responsibility and design with best efforts and great care to achieve integrated architecture of high completion,to adhere to the spirit of innovation and meet the demands of the citizens in a diversified and all-round way.更多还原
