【Abstract】 Dewey’s metaphor of spectrum brings us a new perspective in aesthetic investigations.The concepts of classification abandon the pursuits of essence and renew their own adjectival qualities in virtue of Dewey’s metaphor.And this renewal shows the significance of activity.According to Dewey,a particular sense is simply the outpost of an activity.The experience discussed by Dewey begins with action.Self and object are integrated and disappear in experience.As a result,the pigeonholes of concepts,senses as well as self and object are broken.The substitute is the overlapping and continuum just like the spectrum.更多还原
