【Abstract】 The paper looks back upon the recent research of rural urbanization in China ranging from concept, connotation, dynamic mechanism, paths and level to the putting-forward policies made since 2003. Based on this, the author speculated the nature of the existing debate from a prospect of main body in rural urbanization and then points out the root of such debate resulted from the definition of rural urbanization without the prospect of peasant who is the micro-main body of it. So, the existing study misrecognized the connotation and the dynamic mechanism, which resulted in misunderstanding of the paths. This paper argue that the urbanization originate from the natural reflection and national choice of peasant as main body of urbanization facing industrialization and original power driving rural urbanization comes from the growth of income gained by the workers from peasant. As a result, the author observed that paths of rural urbanization in China derived internally from industrialization as endogenous equilibrium of peasant’s national choice. Based on this, the author reviewed the debate on rural urbanization level and measure.更多还原
