【Abstract】 English as a multinational and multicultural language can help us know more about the world,but we should also have the ability to introduce our own culture to the world because there are so many treasures in our tradition.In order to investigate how well college English education in China prepares students for communicating in English about Chinese culture,the investigation was conducted in the forms of questionnaires and interviews and the results show that Chinese culture has been much neglected in college English teaching and that the majorities are unable to discuss Chinese culture in proper English.The authors argue that college English can play a role in preserving our culture and in English class more Chinese topic should be introduced.更多还原
