【Abstract】 Starting with the development stage of Guangzhou,this paper examines the motive and importance of hosting the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou.It argues that the event of Asian Games would be a booster of the urban development of Guangzhou and a strategy of strengthening the central city function,expanding the international reputation and influence and enhancing the city status.Then it explains the key initiatives and initial results of Asian Games Strategy including optimizing the industrial structure and spatial structure,speeding up the urban infrastructure construction,improving the image of urban environment and landscape,and promoting the cultural development and so on.更多还原
