【Abstract】 The thought of UG can trace back to a remote epistemological origin.Chomsky believes UG is the innate biological endowment of the human brain and language studies will ultimately be unified with other mainstream sciences.On the basis of the philosophical,psychological,and biological discussions about the three stages of UG developments,the author concludes that UG has not only changed the traditional paradigms of linguistics,but also experienced several paradigms itself,and the current recursion-only hypothesis is the latest development of UG in the biological context.更多还原
