【Abstract】 Yuza 34,developed by the Dian-type Hybrid Rice Research Center of Yunnan Province,was a Dian-type japonica hybrid rice combination.It was derived from Dianyu 1A(a Dian I-type japonica CMS line with stable male sterility and indica rice germplasm) and Nan 34(a japonia restorer line with good grain quality,blast resistance and indica rice germplasm).The combination had the characteristics such as middle maturity,compact plant type,high yielding ability,good fertilizer response,cold tolerance and disease resistances,and relatively good grain quality.Yuza 34 was certified for release to commercialization by the Crop Variety Appraisal Committee of Yunnan Province in December,2004.The breeding procedures of the parents and the major characteristics,key techniques of cultivation and hybrid seed production of the hybrid combination were introduced in this paper.更多还原
