【Abstract】 Urban heat island effect is apeculiar climatic phenomenon. Many experts and scholars have carried out a series studies on urban air pollution and urban heat island effect, and they have found that ur- ban heat island effect is extensive. In this paper, the domestic and foreign new research progress on urban heat island effect, research methods and developed models are reviewed and summarized, which include 4 aspects, i. e.,the concepts and definitions of urban heat island effect, general situation of the study, re- search methods and existing problems, and measures of reducing urban heat island effect. Moreover, the vast foreground of researching urban heat island effect is prospected.更多还原
