【Abstract】 Firstly, the paper reviews the emergence and course of the Self-taught higher education examinations, and analyses the properties of the Self-taught examinations thoroughly by the light of law. Secondly, it extracts the superiority of the Self-taught examinations. Finally, it compares the characteristics of the Self-taught examinations with that of imperial examinations historically, and draws the conclusion that the system of Self-taught examinations is one of the systems of higher education with Chinese characteristics.更多还原
