在一个四能级系统中基于原子相干效应的探测场增益

【摘要】 提出一个由两个相干场和一个非相干泵浦驱动的四能级模型,讨论了由于量子干涉的作用,在短波长范围内获得的探测场增益。通过对密度矩阵的计算得到了获得不同形式探测场增益的条件,包括任意态无粒子数反转增益,缀饰态粒子数反转增益,裸态粒子数反转增益。并且发现在该模型中,通过控制耦合拉比频率可以实现无反转到反转的改变,而这种改变不依赖于非相干泵浦的强度。

【Abstract】 A four-level system driven by two coherent fields is considered. the probe gain at a short wavelength can be achieved due to the quantum interference in the presence of an incoherent pump. The density matrix calculation provides the conditions for probe amplification from different origin, including gain without population inversion in any state basis, gain with population inversion in the dressed-state basis, and gain with population inversion in the bare-state basis. Also, by controlling Rabi frequency of the coupling field a totally changing from non-inversion to inversion can be achieved which does not depend on the intensity of the incoherent pump.
