转录后基因沉默与植物对外界病毒的抵御

【摘要】 转录后基因沉默(Post transcriptional gene silencing,PTGS)是生物界普遍存在的现象。近年来,PTGS在植物中特别是在转基因植物中得到了广泛的研究。PTGS是植物的一种自然防御机制,通过对PTGS的研究,对病毒和植物之间的相互关系有了新的认识,它是病毒和植物共进化的结果。对基因沉默的机理和方式的深入研究对于植物基因工程在基础理论和应用方面均有重要作用。文章对转录后基因沉默的机理、病毒和植物的互作关系以及PTGS在植物功能基因研究和病毒抗性方面的应用进行了综述。

【Abstract】 Post-transcriptional gene silencing(PTGS) is a widespread phenomenon in plants and other creatures against foreign nucleic acids including transgenes and viruses.Recently,PTGS-like phenomena have been extensively investigated in plants,especially in transgenic plants.PTGS is a natural defense mechanism of plants,which has led to a new understanding of the relationship between viruses and plants.And it is a co-evolution result between viruses and plants.Research into the modes and mechanisms of gene silencing is very important for the development of plant transgenic engineering in both basic area and application area.The gene silencing mechanism,the relations between viruses and plants and its application in plant function gene research and virus resistance are reviewed in this paper.
