【Abstract】 As the most extensively discussed example in the theory of the firm,the Fisher Body-General Motors Case has been viewed as the real model of governing asset specificity and the opportunist behavior by vertical integration.The newest surveys find that not only the real case can’t support the prevailing view at all,but also the asset specificity view can’t explain this case which has been cited most frequently.Thus,this case is a good proof that asset specificity is not an important reason for vertical integration.Besides,the analysis for subcontract in auto industry also illustrates this point.更多还原
