【Abstract】 In this paper, the history and development of the study of pollen morphology and systematics of the Family Asteraceae were briefly reviewed on the basis of the following 5 respects, such as the brief history of the study of pollen morphology, the morphology and structure under LM, SEM and TEM, the types of exine walls of the pollens and classifications of the taxa under the pollen types, the function and evolution of the ornamentational and super-structural characteristics of exine wall, and recent advance in the study of modern pollen of the family Asteraceae. The information in this paper can facilitate further investigation of the fossil and modern pollen morphology for Asteraceae plants and the applied research works, including systematics and evolution of flowering plants, geology, paleoclimate, paleovegetation, and paleogeography.更多还原
