【Abstract】 To maintain the long terms future of the existing pollution damage compensation system, the International Group of P&I Clubs offered a voluntary compensation package (namely STOPIA 2006 & TOPIA 2006) which are contractually binding agreements between the shipowners conferring on the 1992 Fund and the supplementary Fund respectively the right of enforcement This article gives a brief introduction to these agreement. Currently both agreements are not applicable to the oil pollution accidents occurred within the Chinese Mainland water which calls for the Chinese government to take some action.更多还原
