【Abstract】 The Pole-Axis Theory has very important academic value and instructional significance on regional planning, especially on the evolution of spatial structure of metropolitan area. On the basis of introduction and analyses, this paper discusses the mechanism of the theory in the evolution of spatial structure of metropolitan area.
