【Abstract】 The guiding modes of a single mode fiber(@1550nm),when the cutoff frequency of the fiber is less than the frequency of the launching field,have been investigated.The fused tapered fiber has been fabricated by using the flame of a spirit lamp.If controlling the fiber dimension well during pulling process,the unique tapered fiber will have a multimode input end and a single mode output end for launching wavelength 632.8nm,which are demonstrated in our experiment.更多还原
