【Abstract】 Pigment epithelium derived factor (PEDF), a glycoprotein existing in the eyes of human and animals, belongs to the serine protease inhibitor gene family. It secreted by the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells with antiangiogenic and neuroprotective properties.
