简单INDEL编码与其它空位编码方法的比较
COMPARISONS BETWEEN SIMPLE INDEL CODING AND OTHER GAP CODING METHODS
【摘要】 不同的系统发育重建算法以不同的方式编码空位,但是不同的编码方式对系统发育分析结果的影响并不清楚。介绍了一种新的空位编码方式———简单indel编码,并将它与将空位编码成丢失的数据和编码成第5性状作了比较。统计分析表明,简单indel编码的确比将空位编码成丢失的数据更有效,但是与将空位编码成第5性状相比两者结果差异不大。而且,随着空位含量的降低,简单indel编码发挥的作用也减少。
【Abstract】 Different phylogenetic algorithms code gaps in different ways. However, it is not clear the effect of different gap coding methods on phylogenetic results. In this paper, we introduced a new gap coding method-simple indel coding and we compared it with coding gaps as missing data and the fifth character. Statistical analyses reveal that simple indel coding method is more efficient than coding gaps as missing data. Nonetheless, there is little difference when compared with coding gaps as the fifth character. What’s more, it becomes less efficient when gap percentages decrease.
