面向对象思想的GIS地理数据库设计初探

【摘要】 简要地回顾了地理数据库的发展历程及其特点,并详细探讨了面向对象的数据库技术在GIS中的实现,介绍了ArcGIS8所推出的新型的面向对象的空间数据模型Geodatabase,分析了Geodatabase数据模型在空间信息存储与管理方面的优势,并对其进行了展望。

【Abstract】 This paper briefly reviewed the advancing process and characteristics of geographical database.Then it discussed the realization of object-oriented technique for database in GIS in detail.It also introduced Geodatabase which is a new data model presented by ArcGIS 8.It analyzed the advantages of Geodatabase in management spatial information data storage and predicted its future development.
