【Abstract】 Nan Yongqian’s totem poems, based on the nationality standards,probe the modern values of poetry.These totem poems have inherited the aesthetic features of the traditional poems, that is, the application of antithesis,repetition of the expressions, etc.Meanwhile, they have also blended some modern techniques, for example, the concluding art of bringing out the crucial points, the typical poem shape with the poet’s individuality.
