【Abstract】 The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s early comedy, portrays Katherina’s change from a temperament-twisted heroine into a lady who restored her dutiful nature and tenderness through taming. From psychological perspective, the article not only dissects the inducing factors resulting in her deformed personality and twisted temperament, but also explores the subjective and objective factors which make possible her personality change from shrewishness to dutifulness, from regression to progression. On this basis, it reveals the social limitation reflected in her temperament system, thus providing a more rational explanation of the self-remold in the transformation of her personality.更多还原
