【Abstract】 Historical materialism is the core of Marxist historiography and is also Marx’ basic standpoint of the social development of mankind. It considers the development of the history as a natural process that isn’t determined by the will of human being, but decided by the internal contradiction of the society: the interaction of productive forces and production relations. Moreover, the production relations must keep up with the development of productive forces.
