【Abstract】 A close relationship exists between the form of language and the expression of theme. The "Life Sentence" is the famous American writer Faulkner’s unique stylistic characteristic. For expressing various themes,those "Life Sentences" are different from one another in his works in the length, punctuation,words and expressions as well as sentence structures. "Life Sentences" will be analyzed and compared in the stylistic way for further study of Faulkner’s language art and better appreciation of the aesthetic effect of his works.更多还原
