【Abstract】 The numerical solution of the two dimensional dam break waves is described by a discrete-velocity model. Based on the analogy to gas dynamic equation the discrete-velocity model can also be used to stimulate the shallow water wave equations. Two numerical calulations including a 2-dimensional circular dam break wave and a partial dam break wave were carried out. The numerical results show that the model is easy to (implement), effective and stable.更多还原
