【Abstract】 Researchers need an authoritative report for their publications indexed by principal indexes such as SCI, EI, and etc. or cited in publications. Certain libraries provide this kind of so-called index and citation checking service. This paper describes the disadvantage of this library service and then discusses the possibility of designing software to solve the current problem.
