【Abstract】 With the rapid development of the construction industry, flame retardant cables find wider and wider use. Reasonable selection of cable materials is of key importance in improving safety and decreasing potential fire hazards. This paper presents the flame retardant technique and types and selection of flame retardants. It recommends the related flame retardant system for different base polymer used in wire and cable.
