【Abstract】 John Henry Newman, the famous educator in England in 19th century as the representative of the classical liberal education thought, made a profound exposition of the essence, objective and function of university’s education. Among them, his exposition about the relationship between liberal education and professional education has certain inspiration to us. Although Newman’s liberal education thought has some limitation of the times, his profound intention of thought has great vitality and has enlightened our higher educators.更多还原
