莫利森的非洲情结——试析《所罗门之歌》的黑色文化底蕴
Morrison’s African Complex: on the Black Culture Embelded in “Song of Solomon”
【摘要】 文章通过分析莫利森的小说《所罗门之歌》中对非洲传统文化中名字、成人仪式、歌唱、民间故事和传说、天人合一观与飞翔等的运用,探讨了莫利森的非洲情结,指出这部小说中深刻的非洲渊源和蕴藏的深刻黑色文化底蕴,并由此得出作者的主张,即黑人民族应该认同自己的民族身份,保持自己的文化独立。因此,黑人的文化根基对于他们的生存、独立和种族发展至关重要。
【Abstract】 This thesis is meant to probe into Morrison’s African complex by analyzing her use of names, initiation rites, sing, folklore and legend, the concept of harmony between nature and man as well as the flying Africans in traditional African culture in Song of Solomon, and to point out the importance of African cultural heritage in this novel. Meanwhile it explores the author’s assertion that black people should maintain their cultural heritage to be spiritually independent and free in order to retrieve their lost identity and to reconstruct their discredited culture and history.
