【Abstract】 This thesis is meant to probe into Morrison’s African complex by analyzing her use of names, initiation rites, sing, folklore and legend, the concept of harmony between nature and man as well as the flying Africans in traditional African culture in Song of Solomon, and to point out the importance of African cultural heritage in this novel. Meanwhile it explores the author’s assertion that black people should maintain their cultural heritage to be spiritually independent and free in order to retrieve their lost identity and to reconstruct their discredited culture and history.更多还原
