【Abstract】 The application of GPS and GIS technology in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) in domestic and overseas markets are analyzed in details. The importance of combining the technology of GPS and GIS is described by some typical examples of application which could use conveniently and safely and several services in ITS are provided.
