【Abstract】 The viewpoint of ”Creation of the Best as in Rivalry” put forward by Mr. Xu Yuanchong has been praised as well as criticized by scholars in the field of translation. This paper, on the basis of tracing to the source of this viewpoint, discusses its connotation, the relationship between the original text and the translated text, the author and the translator as well as that between translation and creation. The author holds that the viewpoint of ”Creation of the Best as in Rivalry” is not only derived from Mr. Xu’s translation experience but also originated from the Chineseas well as foreign translation theories in history, that it contains a profound truth and should be valued by the translation field.更多还原
