【Abstract】 Video conferencing is growing more and more attractive to geographically distributed participants. With the rapid growth on multimedia signal processing and communication, virtual video conferencing is becoming possible. Compared to conventional 2D-based video conferencing system, 3D virtual video conferencing can provide better quality of human-centered communication. In both situations, efficient and accurate video segmentation and view synthesis are key issues. Three main technologies are discussed including background subtraction, disparity estimation and view synthesis.更多还原
