【Abstract】 Demarcation line between tropics and subtropics in Guangdong Province h as been studied by manyscientists. This article demonstrates 4 demarcation lines that lie across Guangd ong, the northern most one lies on the line from Huaiji County to the east to Da pu County, whereas the southern most line goes from Lianjiang to Yangjiang. We e valuate the demarcation line by evidence of the distribution of typically tropic al species Antiaris toxicaria (Moraceae), and draw a new line that across from L uoding through Shenzhen to Huilai (at the south of Shantou). The ecology and geo graphical distribution of A. toxicaria in China are described. Suggestion of the new line will provide important significance for the development of agriculture and forestry in tropical and subtropical transition area in Guangdong.更多还原
