【Abstract】 The outlet flexible connector’s copper leaves of 9E type air-cooled generator manufactured by ALSTOM Company in France have consecutively broken for two times. Through test and analysis from aspects of materials in different areas, fabricating technology, and operational systems etc., it is put forward that the main causes leading to breakage of flexible connector’s copper leaves are structure design, fabricating technology, and resonance existing in mechanical systems etc..
