【Abstract】 With reference to an example, the characteristics of strengthening design and construction of a type of new bridge pier subjected to two-way bending moment are presented. In the strengthening construction for the pier, the external prestressing method is mainly applied, together with other techniques, particularly the utilization of shearing slots, rebar embedding and the underlay concrete blocks, the strengthening design and construction of the pier are satisfactorily completed, and a good state of the pier structure is achieved after strengthening.更多还原
