【Abstract】 Discourses or texts are schematically organized by units, and the bigger units are composed as a whole of smaller ones. Similarly, human’s world knowledge, according to the cognitive theory, is also schematically constructed, stored and possibly retrieved in units, known as schema. Communications involve both information input and output, which are processed by the cooperation of each localized area in our brain. Therefore, texts should be taught as a whole to ensure the development of communicational language skills.更多还原
