【Abstract】 The article expounds the present condition of fostering aural and oral abilities insufficiently in colleges and universities. It puts forward the proposition of taking advantage of intensive reading class to strengthen the abilities and some feasible teaching measures, especially the one in using the basic four interrogative syntactic patterns of H. E. Palmer to drill students in comprehensive application of sound language, to improve the status quo. It reports the good results of the concrete teaching practice in using these measures and approaches the subject in terms of theory.更多还原
