【Abstract】 Based on the centralized and distributed control of electrostatic precipitator (ESP), an overall configuration of the expert system is developed. An analytical study are performed using this system to realize new functions for centralized management of ESPs, to diagnose faults in ESPs, to optimize comprehensively according to their operational parameters, to predict the operational performance of ESPs based on parts of signals collected from chemical treatment and boiler houses, and to provide hint and alarm functions using dynamic and multimedia technology.
