【Abstract】 Five new species of the caddisfly family Limnephilidae are described from China: Nothopsyche nozakii Yang et Leng, sp. nov.; Anabolia schmidi Leng & Yang, sp. nov.; Anabolia yunnanensis Leng et Yang, sp. nov.; Lenarchus sinensis Yang et Leng, sp. nov. and Limnephilus zhejiangensis Leng et Yang, sp. nov. Type specimens are deposited in the Insect Collection of Nanjing Agricultural University. 1 Nothopsyche nozakii Yang et Leng, sp. nov.(Figs 1 8) Body yellow brown, forewing length: 19 22 ?mm. This new species is close to Nothopsyche muqua Malicky & Chantaramongkol from Vietnam. But differs from the latter in: 1) interior appendage short, digitate; instead of a deeply forked process as in the latter; 2) apex of aedeagus deeply incised in dorsal view; 3) parameres slender, arm like with truncate apices(parameres with enlarged, head like apices in the latter). Holotype male, Mt. Longwang, Anji County, Zhejiang Province, 660?m, 18 Oct.1995, coll. WANG Bei Xing. Paratype 1 female, same data as holotype.2 Anabolia schmidi Leng et Yang, sp. nov. (Figs 9 12) Body yellowish brown, forewing length 15 6?mm. This new species is close to Anabolia subquadrata Martynov from the central part of China in the structure of male genitalia. But it could be distinguished from the latter by: 1) superior appendages huge, as long as interior appendages, instead of only one third as long as interior appendages in the latter; 2) inferior appendages broad subquadrate,with a small protuberance on the distal margin,(appendages elongate triangular, without distal projection in the latter). Holotype male, Jiuzhaigou County, Sichuan Province, 2?300?m, 7 Sep. 1983, coll. WANG Shu Yong.3 Anabolia yunnanensis Leng et Yang, sp. nov. (Figs 13 16) Body dark brown, forewing length: male 16 5 18 5?mm. This new species is also close to Anabolia subquadrata Martynov from the central part of China. But it could be distinguished from the latter by: 1) superior appendages as long as interior appendges, with apical margin darkly sclerotized and incised (superior appendages much shorter, with blunt apices in the laffer); 2) parameres slender, terminating in a small head like structure bearing a row of tiny spines on the tip(parameres with deeply forked apices in the laffer). Holotype male, Deqing County, Yunnan Province, 3?700?m , 27 Aug. 1987,coll. LIAO Su Bo. Paratypes: 2 females, same data as holotype. 4 Lenarchus sinensis Yang et Leng, sp. nov.(Figs 17 21) Body dark brown, forewing length: 7 5 8 5?mm. This new species differs from any other members of the genus in following characters in male genitalia: 1) superior appendages fused into a large convex plate with a deep mesal groove, bearing an apicomesal triangular process in dorsal view; 2) interior appendages highly sclerotized, with two stout, slightly curved processes on each side in dorsal view; in lateral view, the distal process long and stout, with apex closing to the tip of superior appendage; and 3) apex of paramere with inner branch bare, spine like. Holotype male, Mengyuan County, Qinghai Province, 3?000?m, 5 July 1989. Paratypes 1 female, same data as holotype; 6 males, 1 female, Xiaozhongdian, Yunnan Province, 3?800?m , 1 Aug.1984, coll. WANG Shu Yong.5 Limnephilus zhejiangensis Leng et Yang, sp. nov.(Figs 22 24) Body yellow brown, forewing length 16 17?mm. This new species is close to Limnephilus distinctus Tian & Yang from Sichuan Province in Southwestern China. But it differs from the latter in: 1) interior appendages straight with narrow apex directed postdorsally, instead of slender hook like apex turned upward in 90 degree in the latter; 2) the apex of paramere slightly broadened and bearing tuft of stout setae, with a triangular process at distal 1/4(the apex of paramere broadened into a large triangular lobe and lack of any process on its dorsal edge in the latter).
