【Abstract】 This paper is concerned with the elementary principles and several common algorithms of synergetic pattern recognition, which will facilitate the further development of pattern recognition theory. First, the paper introduces some basic concepts; then, it expounds the key techniques in the synergetic pattern recognition approach, including the selection of prototype patterns and the setting of atterntion parameters. It analyzes and evaluates the application results of the common techniques. It also forecasts the future development of synergetic pattern recognition algorithms.
