Faulkner’s Reflection on White American Civilization Through The Bear
【Abstract】 Through the description of a hunting activity, Faulkner revealed the fact that the retreat of American forests and the disappearance of taintless and incorruptible forest residents were all caused by the coming of American whites and felt very sorry for it. He reflected on the civilization of American whites and fiercely criticized its destructiveness and evilness. He hoped to find a reasonable way of development for human civilization.
