【Abstract】 Crude polysaccharides were prepared from powered Spirulina platensis by hot water extraction, alcohol precipitation, deproteinization. And polysaccharide of spirulina platensis (PSP) was isolated and purified by Sephadex gel column chromatography.. Its homogeneity was examined by paper chromatography, Sephadex gel column chromatography and HPLC. At the same time, its mono - saccharide composition was identified.
