【Abstract】 The linux’s GUI isn’t so friendly and its application software isn’t so abundant that its desktop application is less than server-side. This paper introduced the development of an e-mail system under the linux. The LKE-mail has been divided into four parts: user inerface, e-mail maintained, newsgroup and network communication based on its functions and user interface friendly.
