【Abstract】 The bicultural identity of the translator makes it impossible for him to ignore completely the target social cultural factors. Actually, they dominate to some extent the translator’s comprehension and interpretation of the source text. Social cultural factors influence the translator in terms of ideology, literary tradition and norms, and cultural values. These factors should be taken into consideration in the theoretical system of translation criticism for an objective, scientific and holistic evaluation of a translation.更多还原
