基于移差扫描和窗口搜索的车牌定位方法
Vehicle License Plate Locating Based on Horizontal Difference and Window Scanning
【摘要】 车牌定位一直是车牌自动识别系统的瓶颈问题。为了提高车牌定位的速度和准确率,提出一种简单、实用的车牌定位方法。该方法是针对汽车图像多水平纹理的特点,首先对图像进行水平移差、边缘锐化等预处理增强车牌区的纵向纹理,然后采用窗口搜索的方法找出车牌区,并结合车牌先验知识准确定位车牌。该方法对于在任何光照下,倾角小于15°的车牌图像进行实时定位均具有很好效果。
【Abstract】 Vehicle license plate locating is the bottleneck of license plate recognition system. In order to improve the speed and accuracy of it, a simple and practicable approach is presented in this thesis. According to a great deal of horizontal texture of vehicle image, some preprocesses such as horizontal difference and edge sharpen are used to strengthen the vertical texture. Then search the license area with moving window and get the exactly coordinate with the help of former knowledge. It has a good result to locate license plate on real-time in case of different illumination and obliquity less than 15 degrees.
