运用Mathematica4软件包求解Pell方程的方法

【摘要】 介绍如何在Mathematica4软件包中编程求解Pell方程的最小正整数解.我们得到阿基米德问题,即Pell方程X2-410286423278424Y2=1的最小正整数解,这是10万位级的一对整数.

【Abstract】 This paper gives the details on how to solve Pell equations in the Mathematics software Mathematica4. Furthermore, it can get the minimum solution of Archimedes’ problem, so called Pell equation x2-410286423278424y2=1. That minimum result is a pair of integers both with more than 105 digits.
